farmers' market trip

We went to the Portsmouth market today -there was so much there to choose from! Veggie seedlings, perennials and annuals, ready-to-eat greens and other treats... it's so wonderful to see!

We came home with 2 Juliet tomato seedlings from New Roots, a bag of salad greens from Meadow's Mirth, and a humongous bunch of salad turnips from Wake Robin farm. Our son is 6 and we're always working to expand his food interests - today he tried a slice of raw salad turnip and immediately declared that he's adding them to his "top 10" food list. A definite testimony to how yummy they are!!
