walgreens and staples deals

On our way to run some other errands, we stopped by Walgreens today. They had Colgate Sensitive toothpaste for $4.49 - we had a $1.00 off coupon, and received back $4.50 in Register Rewards at checkout. They also had Right Guard deoderant for $2.99 - again, we had a $1.00 coupon - and at checkout we received back $2.00 in Register Rewards.

Total spent at Walgreens for 1 deoderant and 1 toothpaste: $5.48
Register Rewards coupon for use on next Walgreens purchase: $6.50.

If you consider the Register Rewards we got back, Walgreens paid us $1.02 to shop there today. Pretty good couple of deals for a quick stop in!

Also - this week, Staples is also offering a Casio label maker for $19.99. There's a $20 rebate on the label maker through the Staples Easy Rebates program - the rebate can be submitted online, so you don't even have to pay for a stamp. Could be something fun to have - it even comes with a starter tape and ink. The Staples ad also mentions Giradhelli chocolate free after a mail-in rebate - so if chocolate's your thing, that one might be worth the price of the stamp!
