pea flowers!

There's sunshine in New Hampshire today and the garden is happy!! The peas are flowering, the tomatoes are getting taller, and the lettuce has gotten a lot bigger on account of all the rain we've had lately. I had a sandwich for lunch today, and added fresh lettuce straight from the garden to the top. Awesome! Hope your gardens are happy too - tis the season for fresh veggies!
And speaking of veggies, our CSA starts soon. Can't wait to see what we get in our first pick-up! Stay tuned for photos in a later this week...

Gorgeous! And yay for pea flowers, I'm still looking for my first pea flowers.

The rain has been mostly good to my garden, sans the three broccoli plants I lost to too much rain (big leaves, thick stalk, couldn't "stand up" to the rain)!

Other than that, the garden is gooood!

My CSA just started, and it's been wonderful. Lots of lettuces, chard, kale, those kinds of things - but some hakauri turnips too. Your pea flowers look great. About how long after the flowers do you get peas?

This is the first time we've grown snap peas, but our CSA farmers said we should be able to start picking within a couple weeks of seeing our first flowers. Can't wait!!
